The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), specifically the Surface Electronic Warfare Systems Branch within the Tactical Electronic Warfare Division, is seeking contractors to provide Radio-Frequency (RF) Continuous-Wave (CW) Microwave-Power-Module (MPM) amplifiers for use in developmental electronic warfare (EW) systems. These amplifiers will serve as transmitters in prototype shipboard and airborne applications designed to enhance naval electronic warfare capabilities by denying or degrading hostile electromagnetic spectrum use. The required modules must meet detailed technical criteria outlined in the Statement of Work, including specifications on frequency, power output, time delay, duty cycle, pulse characteristics, linear gain, and input/output parameters. The amplifiers will be housed in enclosures suitable for installation on both surface ships and airborne platforms. This procurement is classified as a commercial item acquisition under FAR Part 12, with the Government proposing a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract over a three-year ordering period. The solicitation process will be conducted electronically, with proposals submitted according to instructions in the forthcoming solicitation, identified as N00173-14-R-DE01C, with the place of performance corrected to the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC. Interested parties are encouraged to submit proposals upon release, and can direct inquiries to the designated contract specialist, Deborah Eppler. Additional related contracting opportunities are accessible through the NRL’s specified procurement website.
