NOTICE TO CONTRACTORSCITY OF QUINCY, ILLINOISSealed proposals for the Contract ‘D’ – WTP Pump Station Building Rehabilitation project in the City of Quincy, Illinois, described herein will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 730 Maine Street, Quincy, Illinois 62301 until 11:00 AM local time, June 5, 2024 and at that time publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chamber of the Quincy City Hall.The project includes replacement of building roof; select structural demolition and construction of reinforced concrete structures; masonry repair & tuckpointing; replacement of windows and doors; construction of CMU partition walls; mechanical/electrical/plumbing improvements; and related construction items.Plans and specifications are available online at www.quincyil.gov/bids and may be examined at the office of the Department of Utilities & Engineering, City Hall, 730 Maine Street, Quincy, Illinois 62301.All proposals shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the “Proposal Bid” form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the City of Quincy, or a bank cashier’s check, or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications.The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities.No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.The City of Quincy is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages minority group participation in the bidding and construction process.Bidders are notified that no less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor shall be paid to all workers performing work under this contract.BY ORDER OF:Jeffrey ConteDirector of Public Works
