A bronze gate valve with an 8-inch size, rising stem, and OS&Y configuration is required under this contract, meeting MIL-SPEC standards for Type I, Class I and conforming to MIL-DTL-1189 Revision D dated December 15, 1987, with reference drawing 80064 1385620. The valve must withstand a maximum working pressure of 100 PSI WOG and adhere to the technical and quality requirements outlined in the DLA Master List, including tailored higher-level quality controls, configuration change management, and inspection and acceptance at origin. Mercury and mercury-containing compounds are strictly prohibited from direct contact with the valve or any packaging materials, except for functional uses in specified instruments, batteries, or weapon systems as defined by NAVSEA, with portable mercury-containing devices requiring shockproof design and a secondary containment boundary. Packaging must comply with MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129, with special marking for center of balance and no use of mercury in preservation or packaging.
