This contract is for the procurement of 33 units of an exit unit for a gun system, identified by NSN 1005-01-050-2735. The project requires strict adherence to cybersecurity standards via CMMC Level 2 certification and compliance with specific military requirements, including phosphate coating certifications, demilitarization of small arms parts, and DLA packaging standards. Manufacturing involves a metal casting process requiring specialized tooling, and the contractor must utilize source-controlled components from approved providers. Quality control measures include inspection at origin, the use of qualified products lists, and a first article requirement that necessitates specific shipping markings and advance notification to the testing facility. The contract is subject to stringent export controls under ITAR and EAR regulations, meaning technical data cannot be released to foreign nationals without prior authorization. Access to restricted technical data requires vendors to be approved through the US/Canada Joint Certification Program and complete mandatory training. Additionally, the use of Class I ozone-depleting chemicals is prohibited. Delivery is set for 578 days after the order is placed, and surplus items are not acceptable for this requirement.
