AI Contract Overview
Solicitation SPE7MC-26-T-275A is a fixed-price request for quotations issued by the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime for the procurement of one globe valve, identified by NSN 0001S0000053. A critical requirement of this procurement is the First Article Test (FAT) to establish a manufacturing standard, which precludes the solicitation from being an automated award. The contractor must maintain approved first article units at their production facility until all quantities are accepted. Delivery for the FAT is required within 120 days, with the final shipping destination located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The contract mandates strict adherence to quality and technical standards, requiring the manufacturer's inspection system to comply with SAE AS9003 or ISO 9001. Packaging and marking must follow MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129, with palletization governed by DLA requirement RP001. Due to the nature of the technical data, this item is subject to ITAR or EAR export controls, requiring contractors to have approved US/Canada Joint Certification Program certification and specific DLA training. Payment will be processed electronically through the Wide Area WorkFlow system. Offerors must submit their quotes by September 28, 2026, and may be eligible for price evaluation preferences if they are certified HUBZone Small Business Concerns.
