The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has announced a stand-down on the Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) contract competition for the UC-35C/D aircraft. Initially, separate CLS contracts were planned for the UC-35C/D and the C-26D aircraft, but following positive industry feedback, NAVAIR has decided to combine the CLS requirements for both aircraft into a single contract. This combined approach aims to consolidate logistics support efforts, streamline procurement, and enhance efficiency. The original solicitation for the UC-35C/D CLS, posted as a sources-sought notice in August 2009, is now deferred as NAVAIR intends to release a combined Request for Proposal (RFP) addressing both the UC-35C/D and C-26D CLS requirements. This combined synopsis is expected to be posted within approximately two months, with the formal RFP release projected for the first quarter of calendar year 2010. Interested parties are encouraged to monitor updates from NAVAIR, headquartered in Patuxent River, MD, for further details and points of contact for inquiries.

This announcement is to notify Industry to stand-down on the UC-35C/D CLS competition. As discussed under announcement (RFI) N00019-09-P7-ZD066, and also at the UC-35 CLS Pre-Solicitation Conference, NAVAIR has been contemplating combining Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for its C-26D and UC-35C/D aircraft. After receiving an overall positive response from industry, NAVAIR has decided to move forward with the combined effort. Therefore, the UC-35C/D CLS requirement is now being delayed with the intention of combining it with the requirement for the C-26D CLS. NAVAIR intends on posting a combined synopsis within the next 2 months. It is anticipated that the combined RFP will be released during the 1st quarter of Calendar Year 2010. Clarification - The intent is to proceed with a combined requirement on one contract.
