The U.S. Air Force, through the Air Force Sustainment Center at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, is conducting market research via a Sources Sought Synopsis to identify qualified industry sources capable of manufacturing new spare parts for the F-16 platform, specifically the CONTROL, GENERATOR with NSN 6110-01-165-6844HY and Part Number 948F456-4. This effort is not a solicitation or a commitment to award a contract, and no funds are available at this time; the purpose is solely to gather information on industry capabilities, including potential sources that can meet the requirement for new manufacture without repair. The Government seeks responses from all business types, including large businesses, small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, 8(a) firms, HUBZone businesses, women-owned small businesses, and service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, with the applicable NAICS code 336413 having a size standard of 1,250 employees. Respondents must provide comprehensive business information including CAGE code, Unique Entity ID, ownership status, and socioeconomic certifications. Technical requirements include the new manufacture of the unit with full component procurement, inspection, testing, preservation, packaging, and shipping, aligned with government-provided Engineering Data List specifications, or independently acquired technical data if an EDL is not provided. A Source Approval Request (SAR) package, developed in accordance with attached Qualification Requirements, is mandatory for consideration. Responses must be submitted electronically through the DoD SAFE portal by July 7, 2026, using either a PKI certificate or a Drop-Off request, and no oral submissions are permitted. The place of performance is Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, and while the estimated quantity is 13 units, pricing will be determined at the time of any future contract award. Nonrecurring engineering costs may be the responsibility of the provider to achieve source approval.
