Coordination & Delivery of Rapid Post-Wildfire Desktop Assessment Summaries

The Province of British Columbia, through the BC Wildfire Service, is soliciting a qualified supplier to coordinate and deliver up to 20 Desktop Assessment Summaries in support of the Wildfire Land-Based Recovery program’s Rapid Ecological Assessment Process for fires occurring in 2025 and throughout the 2026 wildfire season. The selected proponent will act as the central point of contact and contract administrator, responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of each summary within a two-week timeframe following a service request. This includes identifying, engaging, and managing a team of specialized Subject Matter Experts across multiple ecological domains to ensure the appropriate expertise is applied to each fire’s unique ecological values and management concerns. The proponent must demonstrate strong project coordination skills, experience in ecological assessment and wildfire recovery, and proven ability to manage subcontractors or multidisciplinary teams effectively. In addition to delivering the assessments, the supplier will produce a comprehensive final process document outlining workflows, SME coordination methodologies, and key lessons learned to inform future program improvements. The contract is expected to commence upon final execution and run through March 31, 2027. Potential bidders are encouraged to have demonstrated experience in GIS and spatial analysis, as well as a track record of managing complex, time-sensitive ecological projects.
