RESPONSE DATE: Offers/Responses are due prior to the Closing Date and Time specified in BLOCK 9 on Page 1 of the Solicitation/Request for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation will be available in DIBBS on or about its estimated issue date of February 5, 2016. Item Description: NSN: 3040-01-271-9049 Item Description: CORE, FLEXIBLE SHAFT PRESERVATION AND PACKAGING SHALL BE IAW ASTM-D3951, COMMERCIAL PACKAGING. B. W. ELLIOTT MANUFACTURING CO. (72166) P/N 9132-201 B. W. ELLIOTT MANUFACTURING CO. (72166) P/N B-419-9132-201 Quantity: Various quantity increments solicited: FROM: 10 TO: 24 FROM: 25 TO: 74 FROM: 75 TO: 124 FROM: 125 TO: And UP Unit of Issue: EA FOB: FDT Origin Inspection: Destination, DLA stocking locations. Delivery Schedule: Specified on individual delivery orders. All responsible sources may submit an offer/proposal which shall be considered. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. The solicitation will be available in DIBBS on or about its estimated issue date of February 5, 2016 Specifications, plans, or drawings are not available. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess technical data; this is a restricted source item and requires engineering source approval by the Government Design Control Activity. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 5 years. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
