Cosmetology Instructor

The Federal Prison Camp, Alderson, WV is seeking a qualified individual or company capable of providing a Cosmetology Instructor to the femal inmate population. The contractor shall be required to have a Master Teacher License in the State of West Virginia. The contractor shall provide instruction in our cosmetology training program which is of commercially accepted teaching methodologies in Cosmetology skills which will consist of approximately 20% classroom and 80% live work. There will be an estimated 1248 (1 hour) sessons per year, three (3) eight (8) hour sessions per week. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price non-personal services requirements contract to a responsive and responsible offeror, meeting the requirements of the Statement of Work. The period of performance will be from the effective date of award through September 30, 2012, with the Government's unilateral right to exercise one (1) Option Year performance period. This solicitation will be available on or before June 29, 2011, and be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's web site http://wwwfedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Insterested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The estimated date for receipt of offers is August 18, 2011. Amendment 0001 hereby incorporates the Service Contract Act and Wage Determination No: 2005-2573, Revision No: 14, Dated 06/13/2011, into this solicitation.
