Full Description

The County Farm Central Plant is located at 409 County Circle in Riverside, California, 92507. Two of the four chillers serving the central plant are currently out of service, significantly reducing the cooling facilities and creating an immediate risk to the continued operation of the campus. The central plant provides service to the entire campus, including critical County departments such as RUHS – Public and Behavioral Health, where reliable climate control is essential to maintaining safe operations, protecting equipment, and ensuring continuity of public health services. The repair to the chiller drive at the County Farm Central Plant is identified as the proposed project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The operation of the facility will continue to provide public services and will not result in an expansion of existing use. No additional direct or indirect physical environmental impacts are anticipated.
