The Kings County Community Development Agency has received one application for a Site Plan Review Agricultural Land Division for the purpose of retaining an existing farm home and issued two building permits on undersized parcels. These applications created property less than ten acres in size that are currently restricted by Land Conservation “Williamson” Act Contracts. Pursuant to Government Code Section 51222, properties less than 10 acres in size are not considered to be able to sustain a commercial farming operation. Therefore, the Community Development Agency is initiating Notices of Partial Non-Renewal contracts on said parcels.
