County of Riverside Roadway Safety Action Plan

The County of Riverside Safety Plan (RivCo SAP) is a planning study for possible future action. The Plan has three (3) main goals: analyze the existing safety conditions or roadway network in unincorporated Riverside County, identify potential transportation safety improvements, and reduce and eventually eliminate severe injuries and fatalities on roads in unincorporated Riverside County. Additionally, the Plan is meant to be a roadmap that improves transportation safety throughout the County. This Plan does not impose any requirements on others or the County but serves to provide information and guidance for any possible future transportation improvements to the transportation network and infrastructure in the unincorporated Riverside County region. Such transportation improvements have been considered and evaluated in the County of Riverside's Environmental Impact Report No. 521 for its General Plan Amendment No. 960 which was certified by adoption of Resolution No. 2015-259 on December 8, 2015, M.O. 3-54 by the Riverside County Board of Supervisors. The Plan was reviewed to ensure consistency with the County's General Plan. This Plan does not commit funding or approve any implementing safety-oriented infrastructure improvements but merely adopts a safety plan to aid in efforts to achieve the goals described in the Plan.
