The purpose of the Transportation Master Plan (TMP) is to create a comprehensive, long-term strategy, designed to guide the development and improvement of the transportation system throughout the County over the next 25 years. The TMP will need to extend beyond road infrastructure, emphasizing regional economic growth, enhanced safety, and the development of accessible transportation routes. The TMP will need to align with current initiatives such as the Municipal Development Plan (MDP), the Land-Use Bylaw, the Requirement for Area Structure Plan (ASP) Policy and any other relevant County Documents. Further the TMP shall shape future development patterns and provide clear guidance to effectively manage the transportation system of now and in the years to come. The TMP shall serve as a strategic planning framework rather than a tool for addressing specific site or corridor issues. It shall o er a comprehensive set of strategic recommendations and actions to inform future transportation and land-use decisions. Designed as a dynamic document, the TMP will need to adapt to significant development or growth changes and align with other municipal and regional planning initiatives.
