Crash and Salvage Crane Spares Support Package

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ, awarded a firm fixed price modification under solicitation N6833526R0461 to Allied Systems Company (ASC) for a spares support package. Valued at $486,700.00, the contract provides 24 months of sustainment for the Carrier Crash Salvage Crane (CCSC) and Amphibious Crash and Salvage Crane (ACSC) used on CVN and LHA/LHD-class ships. The package includes critical components such as depot-level repairables, pumps, valves, sensors, wire rope, and consumables to prevent Non-Ready-for-Issue status and ensure flight deck operational readiness. This procurement was executed as a sole-source award under 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) because ASC is the Original Equipment Manufacturer and the only source capable of meeting the requirements. The justification for avoiding full and open competition is based on the government's lack of a complete Technical Data Package and the fact that any alternative source would require over 12 months of redundant testing and requalification. Performance is centered at Joint Base MDL, New Jersey, with critical deliveries scheduled for the third quarter of FY26.
