EV385-230830 - CSC Water Main Replacement, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan
TWO PHASE SELECTION PROCESS This is the first phase (Phase One) of a two-phase process: the first phase will evaluate the qualifications of all interested suppliers; the second phase (Phase Two) will invite the qualified suppliers to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. The qualification list will expire within 180 days or upon award of a contract in Phase Two, whichever is earlier, and the prequalification list will not be used in any other solicitation.
Requirement: Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), on behalf of Correctional Services Canada (CSC) is seeking tenders for the provision of all materials, equipment, labour and supervision to supply and installation of a new domestic water supply main at the CSC operated Saskatchewan Penitentiary locatedin Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: - Work will consist of the supply and installation of a new domestic water supply main at the CSC operated Saskatchewan Penitentiary located in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. - Work includes but is not limited to: o Supply and installation of approximately 500 meters of polymer piping in the existing utility tunnels to replace the existing domestic water supply distribution lines. - New polymer piping is to be connected by grooved pipe couplings and mechanical fittings o Supply and installation of approximately 200 meters of polymer piping in the existing steam tunnels to replace the existing softened water supply distribution. - New polymer piping is to be connected by grooved pipe couplings and mechanical fittings. o The supply and installation of shutoff valves, pipe supports, expansion joints, drain tees, and all accessories along the newly installed watermain. o The demolition of all existing systems that are to be replaced and removal all waste material off site and disposed of accordingly. o Start-up, commissioning, and training of all systems installed. - All work is located within a confined space. The contractor is to ensure all regulations for working within a confined space are adhered to. - The demolition of the existing water main and construction of the replacement watermain is to occur concurrently to minimize the downtime to CSC's operations. - No asbestos containing materials are expected to be abated from the identified work. - The Penitentiary requires that the water service must be tested after the services are returned.
Mandatory Requirements:
M1: Suppliers must provide two (2) reference projects undertaken by the supplier within the last 5 years relating to domestic water supply main construction. The supplier is requested to use the below table to provide the response.

There will be an optional site visit scheduled during Phase 2 for the bidders that qualified in Phase 1
