Solicitation # Bid #50 of 2026
The County of Erie is soliciting bids for Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 through its Manager of Procurement, with all submissions required to be made electronically via the PennBid portal by the deadline of August 7th, 2026, at 10:30 AM. The solicitation is targeted at the County’s Information Technology Department and is identified under NAICS code 621420, with the primary point of contact being Sharris@gpinet.com and phone number 814-725-8659. Bids will be opened publicly at the Office of the County Controller in the Erie County Courthouse, and the award will follow a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) approach, prioritizing the lowest responsive bid from a responsible vendor who meets minimum technical requirements. While no detailed evaluation weights or scoring rubrics are provided, bidders must demonstrate financial, technical, and organizational capability, submit a completed Statement of Bidder’s Qualifications, and comply with all mandatory documentation including the MBE/WBE and Section 3 commitment forms, subcontractor disclosures, and employment verification statements. The contract is expected to be awarded for a one-year term beginning September 1, 2026, renewable for two additional one-year periods. Although the solicitation references federal acquisition regulations and includes extensive documentation requirements, no specific FAR clauses, COTR, COR, or PCO designations are assigned, and formal payment office or accounting data such as TAS or AAC codes are not identified. All materials must be submitted exclusively through PennBid, with no paper submissions permitted, and bidders are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting held on July 27, 2026. The procurement does not include FOB terms, bonding requirements, or delivery specifications beyond software delivery and implementation, and while compliance with state and local equal opportunity laws, non-discrimination statutes, and Pennsylvania steel procurement regulations is mandated, no physical goods or construction deliverables are involved—this is a purely software-based services acquisition.
