Curb Space Management for Automated Vehicles AVs

Automated vehicles AVs at the curb face challenges such as safely navigating complex and dynamic environments with unpredictable pedestrian behavior tight spaces and constant interaction with other vehicles and infrastructure. Additionally ensuring seamless communication and coordination with human driven vehicles delivery personnel and curb management systems complicates efficient pickup and drop off operations.
This project seeks to address those challenges through a holistic examination of the physical and digital infrastructure that could improve and streamline AV operations at the curb as they interact with multimodal mixed traffic.
