Currency Equipment Support

THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit documentation that clearly demonstrates their capability. Responses to this notice shall be received no later than 12:00pm EST on Wednesday, 2 September 2015. All responses must be in writing and are to be sent via email to the point of contact specified in this notice. Any cost associated with the preparation and submission of data or information or any other costs incurred in responding to this notice is the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing is issuing this Sources Sought notice to identify available sources to support all aspects of the KBA-Notasys currency manufacturing equipment in both the Washington, DC (ECF), and Fort Worth, TX (WCF) manufacturing facilities. The presses in production were installed in the early 1990s through 2014. Pre-press equipment includes Computer to Plate systems for currency offset and intaglio plates, Platebright plate system, Intaglio platemaking production lines, currency design software, roller recovery and waste water treatment systems. Presses include Simultan Offsets, I-10 and Super Orlof Intaglios, Numerotas, and Large Examining Printing Equipment (LEPE) as well all inspection systems including NotaSave III (Intaglio) and ColorCheck (Offset) and AFX (LEPE). Finishing equipment includes Cutpak systems and banders. BEP needs include but are not limited to: - Parts for all equipment. - Mechanical, electrical and electronic support including calibration services, troubleshooting, and repair. - Operator and maintenance training Parties that can meet this requirement should respond on corporate letterhead explaining experience providing parts to the aforementioned KBA presses and the type of support given to KBA currency press users.
