The project involves the complete renovation of an existing dock structure, including replacing the current dock subframe with a new one featuring reduced 2-foot span spacing to enhance stability and safety, installing a new aluminum gangway with decking that is 20 feet long and 2.5 feet wide, and fitting new wood handrails and posts. All work is confined to the structure above water, with no excavation, dredging, grading, or lakebed disturbance anticipated. Construction debris from dismantling the old components will be collected and disposed of at an approved facility, and no sensitive habitats, wetlands, or vegetation will be impacted, with existing shoreline plants remaining undisturbed. The scope is strictly limited to repair and rehabilitation of the current dock and pier, with no expansion, shoreline alteration, or modifications to the adjacent boat ramp planned. Construction is expected to take approximately one week, contingent on weather, material availability, and site access, with work scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. A team of three to five personnel, including a project supervisor, will perform the work using hand tools, power tools, small portable generators, drills, saws, and impact drivers. The project does not involve any earthmoving or permanent changes to the shoreline, and no future phases or additional waterfront improvements are under consideration. The permit for this work is issued by Lake County, California, under reference PL-26-320, with Daniel Brancati listed as the primary point of contact and Curtis Brown as the contractor.
