The Home is soliciting pricing for the purchase of four (4) custom vinyl pergolas in various irregular shapes (right angular, trapezoidal and pentagonal) as part of a major facility courtyard project. Installation is not part of this contract. Overall project duration is anticipated to be a total of five (5) years. The Home will require delivery in phases on an as needed basis as the project progresses. Submitted pricing shall include any packaging/crating/shipping charges, if applicable. Materials must be in stock and ready to ship. Shop drawings are to be submitted and approved prior to any fabrication and are to be submitted to the Project Manager, or authorized designee. Detailed shop drawings shall include all structural components and connections with exact locations for structural columns for Contractor onsite to use to determine exact footing locations. Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) applies to this procurement. Contractor must certify that the pergolas and their components are manufactured in the United States. Bidder to provide lead times for fabrication and shipping with proposal. Vendors, Suppliers and Manufacturers may propose alternate (equal or exceeding) custom vinyl pergolas of similar design. Potential Vendors are responsible for providing backup documentation and proof their proposed alternate meets or exceeds the specifications and performance of the base custom vinyl pergolas. Manufacturer’s data sheets, color charts and product samples to include all parts and components used must accompany the bid proposal. In compliance with the Procurement Lobbying Act signed into law by Governor Pataki in August, 2005, and effective January 1, 2006, permissible contact by an Offeror in relation to any specific procurement in excess of $15,000 should be made only with authorized personnel of the Home who are designated as the contact person(s) in the bid specifications.
