Navy Medicine East Contracting Office intends to negotiate a one-time sole source contract with 1st American Medical Distributors, Inc. SDVOSB. This requirement is for a customized automated contrast injector used in conjunction with the computed tomography scanner. This requirement is customized to room specifications for a shorter ceiling column to fit the current scan room. The system personalizes CT contrast enhanced patient protocols while ensuring consistency across varied patient populations, clinician and imaging technologists. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b)(1)(i). This notice will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fbo.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Classification System Code is 339113. Based on market research conducted and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals within the government it has been determined DON's customized unique requirement can only be provided by the 1st American Medical Distributors, Inc in a urgent turn around timeframe . This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to this office by 0900 am, EST, 16 September 2019 by email to Renee Turner, Contract Specialist, at renee.turner4.civ@mail.mil. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Telephone requests will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
