The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) plans to award a contract to Comcast of Georgia, Inc. to provide Cable TV Consolidation services for several CDC buildings located in Clifton and Chamblee, Georgia. This contract will cover all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to deliver reliable cable service to specified buildings, including Buildings 1, 2, 16, 18, 19, and 21 at Clifton, and the Koger Building at Chamblee. After market research and trialing alternative services, Comcast was identified as the sole source capable of meeting the CDC’s high reliability requirements within the needed timeframe. The procurement will be conducted through a solicitation process under FAR Part 12, with offers evaluated based on technical capability and price, and the contract may be awarded without discussions. Interested vendors must submit detailed quotations including itemized pricing, prompt payment terms, payment points, taxpayer identification, DUNS number, and descriptive materials referencing Solicitation number 2006Q08440. Quotes are due within 15 calendar days after the synopsis publication or by March 18, 2006, and must be submitted in writing to the CDC or electronically via email with authorized signatures. While Comcast is identified as the only known source, other capable firms may submit a statement of capabilities for consideration. This is a commercial item acquisition conducted under applicable FAR clauses, with specific terms and conditions outlined, and is not set aside for small business. The point of contact for inquiries is Willo D. Lockett at the CDC.
