Full Description

The Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement intends to award a sole source purchase order for one year to the Paraben Corporation located in Orem, UT under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The requirement is to providethe Device Seizure forensic technology, designed by the Paraben Corporation, acquires, exams and reports evidences from a wide range of handheld technology including TDMA, CDMA and GSM Phones and SIMs and USIMS. The training course for the Handheld Forensic Training from the Paraben Corporation is an application-based training of the Device Seizure software. The course is designed by the Paraben Corporation to help understand fundamentals of the operating systems associated with the main PDA devices - Palm, Windows CE, and RIM Blackberry, common cellular handsets, and a basic understanding of SIM cards. In addition to this, the course teaches about the hybrid versions of these devices for acquisition and analysis. The Paraben? Handheld Forensic Training course is proprietary and only the Paraben Corporation can provide the training. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all quotes received by 12:00 noon EDT Friday 17 August 07, will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete with this proposed quote based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Note 22
