D -- Intent to Award a Sole-Source Contract to Verizon for PRI Circuit Services in Blaine, WA

Intent to Sole Source Verizon, Inc. The U. S. General Services Administration, Federal Technology Service (GSA/FTS), intends to make a firm-fixed price, sole source award to Verizon for a PRI circuit which provides and maintains Public Switched Telecommunications Network (PSTN) access via connectivity to a GSA owned and managed PBX installed at 9901 Pacific Highway, Blaine Washington 98320. The total number of lines on this system is 262. Statutory authority for the sole source is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1,Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The contract period will be month to month, NTE one year from date of award. Offerors able to provide the required service are invited to identify their interest and ability to meet the requirements by submitting a qualifications and capabilities statement and any other information which shows a bona fide ability to meet this requirement. If no affirmative responses are received by 3:00 pm PDT, Thursday June 8, 2006 that support the determination that a comparable source more advantageous to the Government is available, a contract will be awarded to the aforementioned source.
