Full Description

Contractor will implement electronic Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) in labs within NCID in order to satisfy the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) need for specimen tracking and collaboration (sharing of results and other information). Approximately 15% of applicable CDC labs now have the StarLIMS system in place. StarLIMS was previously chosen to begin the implementation process. It would not be in the best interest of CDC to enter into another contract with a contractor other that StarLIMS to complete the LIMS project. Consequently, it is believed that StarLIMS is the sole source having the capabilities which will meet the above mentioned requirements of CDC. It is the intent of CDC to award a purchase order with StarLIMS if this is found to be true.
