The Social Security Administration (SSA) is looking for vendors who can provide and/or coordinate and maintain commercial directory listings for all agency national locations. The agency aims to provide the public with ready access to frequently called telephone numbers and to reduce the number of misdirected telephone inquires. There are approximately 1,500 agency locations in various cites within the United States and its territories. Each office is required to have its local address, the National 800 Number and/or local service telephone number listed in at least one commercial directory. The present commercial directory listing program, U.S. Blue Pages provided by U.S. General Services Administration, will be terminated on November 15, 2007. All listings will remain published for no more than 1 (one) year. The U.S. Blue Pages program did not address all local agency commercial directory listings. SSA is looking for interested vendors to provide the national maintenance of SSA commercial directory listings for all agency locations nationwide. The contractor will provide and maintain up to date commercial directory listings for SSA National 800, local general inquiry, and local toll free telephone numbers. The provision for SSA commercial directory listings will include providing at least one listing in the service area of each agency field office (FO). The contractor will publish a correct listing for SSA local office addresses and service area telephone numbers in each local telephone company affiliated or independent telephone directory in the country at the lowest cost to the agency. The contractor will also maintain any updates that are needed throughout the year for the duration of the contract. The contractor shall work with the local telephone directory provider and SSA to provide periodic updates to commercial directory listings when needed. This includes commercial directory updates for approximately 100 relocating offices annually. These updates may be subject to the due dates set by the local commercial directory listing provider in each office service area. The contractor will act on the behalf of each agency location to provide and update all SSA commercial directory listings as needed. The contractor shall offer a single point of contact for all agency commercial directory related issues. The contractor shall also provide a single point of contact to which the telephone directory publishers can explain their service options, negotiate charges, and submit their bills. A single point of contact may be provided for each of the 10 U.S. regional areas. In addition, the contractor shall provide a web-interface that provides the ability to view and update listings. The web-interface should also provide monthly accounting information per listing, per publisher for each agency FO. Interested offerors may identify their interest, capability and pricing. Respond to this requirement by submitting written capability statements and pricing to: Michael Keller, Social Security Administration, Office of Acquisitions and Grants, 1st Floor -- Rear Entrance, 7111 Security Boulevard, Baltimore, Maryland 21244. The capability statement should include Central Contractor Registration (CCR) information (website:http://www.ccr.gov/). This is a sources sought synopsis. No solicitation will be issued and no contract will be awarded.
