If the vendor cannot submit their quote, proposal, and/or other documents via the FedConnect portal, they may submit their quotation to the Purchasing Agent assigned to this requirement, Kathleen Nedzesky, via email at contact@example.gov. Brand Name Required This brand name justification is written under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(c), 11.104, and 11.105. EVALUATION: An award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offer. An award shall be made to the responsible offeror submitting a technically acceptable quote and offering the lowest evaluated price. To be considered for evaluation, offerors must quote on all items/services listed in the solicitation. Technical acceptability will be determined solely on the content and merit of the information submitted in response to this RFQ. The technical acceptability determination will be based on quotation(s) with an exact brand name/item (part) number as those included within this RFQ. Items quoted must be an exact match of the product. NO SUBSTITUTION ITEMS proposed will be considered for award. Currently, NETL uses an IBM Intrusion Detection and Prevention System. This system is configured and tuned for the NETL computing environment. Some components of this system are end-of-life and are not eligible to receive hardware support and/or security software upgrades. This purchase would replace the end-of-life hardware components, extend support and bring our security posture up-to-date. NETL?s current IBM Intrusion Detection and Prevention System requires exact-match IBM brand replacement hardware components to guarantee compatibility with NETL?s existing IBM system. The IBM maintenance/support items ensure continue use of the hardware components and software support to keep the IBM system operable within NETL?s computing environment. No other brand is fully compatible with NETL?s existing IBM Intrusion Detection and Prevention System.
