This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center - Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to acquire through a competitive basis onsite telephone communication support services for NCTAMSLANT Base Communications offices at Seavey Island Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, NH Naval Station Newport, Newport, RI and Subbase New London, Groton, CT. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated. The basic period of performance is from 1 October 2009 through 30 September 2010, with four (4) one-year options. Requirement will be solicited as a commercial item using the special simplified acquisition procedures as set forth in FAR Part 13.5. All responsible sources may submit a proposal that will be considered by the Navy.
