The United States Air Force intends to negotiate a sole source award with DRS Training & Control Systems Inc, 645 Anchors Street, Fort Walton Beach, FL for the following equipment & services: All personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, transportation/mobilization, and other items and non-personal services necessary to support the operation of the USAFE Rangeless Interim Training System (URITS) during Combat Training (CT) exercises and periodic CT at Al Dhafra Air Base UAE. The URITS will consist of twenty (20) airborne components USAFE ACT pods (UAP) and one ground station. This purchase will be made under simplified acquisition procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is 1 October 2007. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on only one source providing full mobility, on-site management and maintenance, and compatibillty to support up to 5 participating nations. Response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
