The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Office of Communications, Broadcast Media & Teleconference Division, intends to issue an award on a sole-source basis in accordance with FAR Part 13 to the Harris Corporation, Broadcast Communications Division, 4393 Digital Way, Mason, OH 45040 to provide web-integration and disaster recovery services and perform a cyber-security upgrade FOR THE EXISITING DIGITAL AUDIO VISUAL INTEGRATION AND DEVELOPMENTAL (D.A.V.I.D.) DIGASYSTEM UTILIZED BY USDA. This synopsis is a notice of intent to issue an award under other than full and open competition and should not be considered a request for competitive proposals. The determination of the Government not to open the subject requirement to full and open competition was made under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), Only One Source Reasonably Available, and is solely at the discretion of the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 25 Sep 03 at 2:00 p.m. EST.
