Inquiries Inquiry 89114 | It says "see attachments" for locations but there are no attachments. Where do I find them? | Answer: On each line item, there is a column titled "Buyer Attachments" and each line item has the same "Crosswalk Marking Specs" Excel file attached to it. Open that file and scroll down to the pictures. To the right of each picture is a location description that is a hyperlink to a map for the location. | Answered: 5/14/2026 Inquiry 89155 | Do we need to provide traffic control and a crash truck for this project? Will preformed thermoplastic be allowed for use on this project, as it would help speed up the installation process and reopening to traffic? For removal of existing markings, are we using the grinding method? Are we required to use a grind head with vacuum recovery, or will a standard grinder head with cleanup prior to applying thermoplastic markings be acceptable? | Answer: Traffic control and safety measures will be the responsibility of the vendor who is awarded the bid. The thermo is to be spray/liquid thermo, not preformed if possible. Per ODOT's Construction and Materials Specifications 614.11.G: a. Removal Methods. Remove the markings so that less than 5% of the line remains visible. Repair damage to the pavement that results in the removal of mare than 1/8 inch of pavement thickness. Use sand, shot, or water blasting to remove markings on all asphalt or concrete pavement surfaces. A grinder may only be used to remove markings on temporary pavement or pavement that will be covered or removed prior to project completion (e.g., intermediate asphalt course). When a grinder drum is mounted to a skid steer loader, the drum must be able to accomodate a minimum of 150 teeth. | Answered: 5/15/2026
