The City of Grover Beach has approved Development Application DA-26-0008, granting a Coastal Development Permit and Use Permit for Central Coast Casino to relocate and expand its indoor commercial recreation facility at 359 West Grand Avenue. The project involves moving the casino from a 1,300 square foot space to a larger 5,000 square foot tenant space within the same building. This expansion allows the facility to increase its capacity to six card tables, subject to City Council approval of the amended Card Table License. The approval also permits the continuation of ancillary alcohol sales for on-site consumption between 6 a.m. and 2 a.m. daily, provided that such sales remain incidental to the primary card room operations. The permit is valid for 24 months, expiring on June 2, 2028, unless a building permit for interior improvements and the six-table card room license are obtained.
