This is a Sources Sought notice for informational and planning purposes only. It is not a request for proposal (RFP) and does not commit the United States Government to a contract. The Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and all submissions become Government property.


Regulatory Guidance:


This notice is conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, Market Research. The Government is seeking to identify qualified sources under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 336413, Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing. 


The small business size standard for this NAICS code is 1,500 employees.

Requirement:


The 911th Airlift Wing is seeking sources for the procurement of the DMC2391 C-17 Mobility Maintenance Tool Kit. 


This kit is essential for the field-level maintenance and repair of the C-17 aircraft electrical wiring systems, ensuring operational readiness in various environments. The kit must contain all Boeing-approved tooling for stripping, crimping, and terminating wires and connectors as specified for the C-17 platform in Technical Order (TO) 1C-17A-2-00WD-00-1. 


Submission Requirements:


Interested parties are requested to submit a capability statement that addresses the following:


  1. Company Information:
    • Company Name and Address
    • CAGE Code and Unique Entity ID (UEI) from SAM.gov
    • Point of Contact (Name, Title, Phone, and Email)
    • Business size and any socioeconomic classifications (e.g., Small Business, Veteran-Owned, etc.).
  2. Capability:
    • A detailed description of your company's ability to provide the DMC2391 kit.
    • Evidence of being an authorized distributor or reseller for Daniels Manufacturing Corporation (DMC) or possessing the ability to source this specific kit.
    • Past performance information on similar contracts with the Department of Defense or other federal agencies.
  3. Contract Vehicles: 

  • A list of any existing government-wide acquisition contracts (GWACs), GSA Schedules, or other Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts through which these items may be procured.
