CBP requires licensed software access to a platform that collects " dark web " or " darknet " data into searchable database(s). The threat intelligence platform enables viewing, querying, and monitoring existing open-source information. Querying, monitoring, and alerts will equip CBP users to address illicit drug advertisements and sales, production and smuggling, and/or equivalent for synthetic drugs or chemical precursors; illicit migration, including illicit document production and sales; and threat detection, such as unauthorized circulation of PII.
