The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) intends to award on a sole-source basis, a firm fixed price purchase order to RS Means Company L.L.C. This requirement is for four quarters) worth of data - cost updates to insure the continuous calculation of the Producer Price Indexes (PPIs) for - New Warehouse Building construction. Without this purchase, the calculation and release of this industry index (which is mission critical) would lapse. Thus market research yields no other viable source for providing cost update. The PPI program requires services and data to aid in the continuous publication of the existing warehouse building models. These services and data are not available from public sector sources. It is the intention of the Bureau of Labor Statistics to procure these services and data from an appropriate private sector vendor. The award will be made in accordance with FAR 12. NAICS code: 541990 This is not a request for competitive quotes; however all interested sources who believe they can meet the requirements may submit a capability statement no later than March 4, 2020 by 12:00 PM to the point of contact for this notice. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement and will be at the sole discretion of the Contracting Officer.
