Full Description

The National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture conducts hundreds of survey data collections every year which are used to produce official statistics on U.S. agriculture. These statistics are currently published in over 400 reports annually covering virtually every aspect of U.S. agriculture, according to the published Agricultural Statistics Board (ASB) calendar. This project is a multi-phase long-term project to redefine how the public accesses our data and reports. Selected subsets of NASS data will be incorporated until a full migration of all data products is complete. This contract supports work completed to date and to continue development of an interactive and publicly available modernized user interface following the guidelines just mentioned. This interface will include the initial set of dairy related data developed in the new interface by previous phases and any new data that is built into the platform during the identified periods of performance. This project will continue to build on the already completed Phases of this project that demonstrates how the current Quick Stats database and current NASS publication process could be replaced with an API driven user interface. The project will also provide plans, including a proposed timeline, for incorporating additional NASS data sets. The contracting activity awarded a logical follow-on contract from the Data Repository and User Interface Design (DRUID) Phase II through the Federal Supply Schedule (FSS), GSA Contract #47QTCA20D005E - Steampunk, Inc., resulting in a single award, firm fixed price, commercial service, task order supported by a Limited Source Justification (FAR 8.405) for DRUID Phase III for the National Agricultural Statistic Service (NASS).
