The project involves the use of an existing 15,000 square foot building with a 4,000 square foot cultivation canopy. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM and is managed by two owners. The project is classified as an environmentally benign infill project that is consistent with the General Plan and zoning requirements, specifically P-1 and MR2-1 Light Manufacturing. It has been granted a categorical exemption from the California Environmental Quality Act under Class 1 and Class 32, as it requires no expansion of the physical footprint and does not increase impervious surfaces or disrupt habitats. Compliance is maintained through adherence to the Los Angeles Municipal Code and permits from the LA Fire Department, LADWP, and the State Water Resources Control Board. The site is further noted to be within an Opportunity Zone and a State Enterprise Zone.
