The Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Information Technology requires brand name NetApp hardware and software maintenance support, including hard drive retention, for storage systems deployed across the VA enterprise. This effort supports several key groups, including Infrastructure Operations for Converged Virtualization Infrastructure, Tapeless Backup Encryption, and Data Center Equipment, as well as the Office of Information Security Cybersecurity Operations Center. The contractor must be an authorized NetApp reseller or partner providing genuine Original Equipment Manufacturer parts and services under the NetApp SupportEdge Secure for Government framework. The scope includes 24x7x365 technical support with strict response times: 15-minute remote and 4-hour onsite for critical issues, 2-hour remote and 8-hour onsite for major issues, and next business day for minor issues, all while maintaining a 99.999 percent system uptime. Optional tasks include the provision of training credits and support account manager services. The contract structure consists of a 12-month base period with one 12-month option period. Security is a primary focus, requiring all personnel to sign the VA Information Security Rule of Behavior and undergo background investigations per VA Directive and Handbook 0710. The contractor must adhere to rigorous cybersecurity standards, including OMB Memorandum M-19-26 and TIC 3.0 guidance, and must notify the government within one hour of any vulnerability exploit.
