The Department of Citywide Administrative Services is seeking an 18-month extension of its contract with the National Traffic Safety Institute Corporation to maintain essential defensive driving services. This third Negotiated Acquisition Extension will run from February 28, 2026, through August 27, 2027, at a total cost of 375,000 dollars. The extension is necessary to ensure uninterrupted service delivery while the agency completes the evaluation process for a new vendor via a pending Request for Proposals. This agreement follows a long-term partnership that began with an original term from March 1, 2017, to February 28, 2020, followed by a three-year renewal and several subsequent extensions. Due to the time-sensitive nature of the requirements and the compelling need for continued performance, the agency is utilizing the Negotiated Acquisition Extension procurement method to bridge the gap until a new contract is awarded.
