This is a notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District for the purchase of EPA-approved water testing & analytical materials at the Washington Aqueduct located in Washington, DC. In connection with its potable water treatment program, the Washington Aqueduct Laboratory monitors and test collected water samples, for the presence and concentration of various bacteriological organisms collected from the source, in-process, and potable waters, using Colilert Substrate, Colilert Vessels, Quanti-Tray and SimPlate Media enzyme substrate products. There is no competition as IDEXX Distribution, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. and is the sole supplier of the requested products to the Water Market. Information received in response to this special notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to not compete the proposed acquisition is within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation or quote package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, responses received by 11:00 AM, 31-MAY-2017 shall be considered by the Government.
