Amendment 3: Update RFQ Specifications and Evaluation Factors The purpose of this amendment is to extend the response due date as a result of specification and evaluation changes to the requirement. For full details, please refer to the RFQ titled "RFQ FA301621U0065_and all attachments - Amendment 3". ====================================================== Amendment 2: Extend Response due date The purpose of this amendment is to extend the response due date to 19 Apr 2021, Monday, at 12PM San Antonio, TX local time. Please be aware of the RFQ requirements to submit the manufacturer, part numbers, specifications, literature, information and details of the ice machines being quote as to ensure the Technical Evaluators have the necessary information required to properly evaluate if quote items meet the aspects of the Technical Factors (list of salient characteristics) under 52.212-2 as noted in the RFQ. ============================================================= Amendment 1: Questions and Answers 1. Question: Do you have any drawings, brand, or model number I can use to reference? ANSWER: The preferred brand/model is "Hydration Pro Plus W/500 with a 550LB Ice Storage Bin" with a 1/2" water supply and drainage line. 2. Question: Who would be the contact that I could use to try and set up a site visit for a potential installer? ANSWER: Site visit will occur with the awardee. Photos of location are well enough to understand location and requirements. 3. Question: I didn't not see any insurance requirements or bond requirements for the RFQ. Can you tell me where I can obtain that information? ANSWER: This is being awarded as a "commodity" requirement under the FAR Part 13, Simiplified Acquisition Procedures, with incidental services/labor. The work/labor associated with both electrical and drainage should be well under $35K and, therefore, bonding and insurance will not be applicable. However, if your quote includes more than $35K total in labor for electrical and drainage, then contractor will be required to obtain bonding and insurance. 4. Question: How soon after contract is awarded must work begin and end? ANSWER: Work, such as ordering the items required to start installation, shall begin at the soonest after award. The government understands that there may be a lead time for acquisition of the Ice Maker and parts, but requires expeditious installation of those items when the contractor receives the necessary items and parts. 5. Question: Can you also provide the actual spell out for these acronyms in the SOW: IBC, UBC, IMC, UPC, OSHA, UFCs, UFGS, NFPA, AF Instructions? ANSWER: IBC - international building code; UBC - uniform building code; IMC - international mechanical code; UPC - uniform plumbing code; OSHA - occupational safety and health agency; UFC - unified facilities criteria; UFGS - unified facilities guide specifications; NFPA - national fire protection association; AF Instructions - any applicable AF instructions ======================================================= This is a combined synopsis/solicitation utilizing the procedures of FAR Part 13. The requirement is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The requirement is for, but not limited to, delivery and installing ice makers at JBSA Lackland AFB, TX 78236. Requirement includes electrical and water hook-ups to ensure a turn-key installation and delivery of these ice makers. Please refer to the attached Request for Quote and other attachments for full details of the requirement/solicitation. Questions/concerns are due no later than 7 April 2021. Offers/Quotes are due no later than 15 April 2021 by 10:00AM SATX Local time.
