Demolition of Wildfire-Damaged Buildings

The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Yakama Agency Forestry, is forecasting a new contract requirement for fiscal year 2027 to perform demolition and site restoration at 151 Rodeo Drive in Harrah, Washington. The project involves the removal of two collapsed buildings damaged by wildfire. The selected contractor will be responsible for characterizing hazardous materials, removing and lawfully disposing of fire debris, building materials, and concrete foundations, as well as securing utilities for future use. Additional tasks include backfilling excavated areas, rough grading, and providing all necessary disposal and closeout documentation. If regulated materials are identified during the characterization process, their removal will be managed through separately priced items. The primary objective of this requirement is to clear the fire-damaged structures and ensure the site is clean, stable, and ready for future agency use. The project is expected to be completed within 60 calendar days following the Notice to Proceed. Due to the proximity of residential areas, all contractor operations must be restricted to the hours between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. This acquisition falls under NAICS code 236220 and is managed by the Department of the Interior.
