The Health and Human Services Commission of Texas is soliciting dental services for residents of the San Angelo State Supported Living Center located at 11640 US Hwy 87 North, Carlsbad, TX 76903 through an Invitation for Bids (IFB) numbered HHS0017238v2, posted on August 6, 2026, with a response deadline of August 20, 2026, at 10:30 AM Central Time. The contract requires comprehensive dental care including comprehensive and limited exams, radiographs, periodontal services, tooth extractions, crown procedures, biopsies, denture work, and pathology evaluations, as well as pre- and post-surgical dental support. All services must be performed by a licensed dentist with a current Texas State Board of Dental Examiners license, DEA registration, CPR certification, and at least five years of relevant experience. Ancillary personnel must also hold current dental licenses and be under the direct clinical supervision of the licensed dentist. The contractor is responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and sterilizing all dental equipment and performing preventative maintenance. Documentation must comply with standards set by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners and the San Angelo State Supported Living Center, including submitting legible, signed clinical notes and written or dictated reports for each patient encounter. The contract will have an initial term beginning September 1, 2026, and ending August 31, 2027, with a potential one-year extension at the agency’s sole discretion. Services are required Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Central Time, with a mandatory four-hour response time to routine service calls and a one-hour response time for emergencies.
