This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada, Warkworth and Bath InstitutionsTrade agreement: This procurement is not subject to any trade agreement.Tendering procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid.Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest priced compliant bid.Set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business: This procurement is not subject to any set-asides for Indigenous Suppliers.Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement.Security Requirements: This contract includes security requirements.Nature of Requirements: The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) Health Services requires the services of a Primary Care Dermatologist for Warkworth and/or Bath Institution(s) in the Ontario Region. The Contractor (Primary Care Dermatologist) must provide Primary Care Dermatology services to inmates and collaborate with the Institution's inter-disciplinary Health Services Team that includes, but is not limited to Primary Care Physician Nurses, Pharmacists, Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, Dietitians, Dentists, Psychologists, and other medical and allied healthcare professionals.Objectives: Provide and actively participate in the coordination of essential health care services to inmates at Warkworth and/or Bath Institution(s) as a Primary Care Dermatologist.Deliverables:a) The Contractor must provide essential integrated, trauma informed Primary Care dermatology services to inmates, as requested by the Project Authority, in accordance with the National Essential Health Services Framework, including any amendment to this Framework issued by CSC during the contract period and any optional period if and when exercised by CSC. b) These services include, but are not limited to the following:Diagnose and treat diseases of the skin;Consultation;Treatment;Appropriate referrals;Examine skin to determine nature of the disease;Recommend medical treatments/and recommendations to the Institutional primary care physician.The Contractor, in their role as Primary Care Dermatologist, must manage dermatology care by consultation and with recommendations by the Institutional Physician to ensure continuity and integration of care. This includes, but is not limited to, approval of recommendations made by health care providers outside of CSC by the Institutional Physician.The Contractor must visit inmates in designated areas of the institution (including, but not limited to the Structured Intervention Unit, Health Care Unit, Living unit for older persons, Intake and Assessment Unit) as requested by the Project Authority or delegate. The Contractor may independently request to assess an inmate in any condition of confinement.The Contractor must consult with the Project Authority or delegate regarding requirements for medical supplies and equipment.
