Desert Valley Company Monofill Expansion Project

The Desert Valley Company Monofill Expansion Project proposes significant operational and structural changes to the existing facility, including a name change to Desert Valley Company Monofill Facility and a substantial expansion of its permitted disposal capacity. The allowable disposal area will increase from 28.9 acres to 62 acres, while the design capacity will more than double from 1.84 million to 4.37 million cubic yards. The maximum elevation of the facility will be raised from -59 feet mean sea level to -55 feet mean sea level, allowing for greater vertical expansion. Reference to remaining capacity has been removed, and the project now focuses solely on design capacity as the operational standard.
