Development of a Diverse Supplier Business Directory

EfficiencyOne has issued Request for Information RFI 2026-0419 to identify and catalog Canadian businesses owned by members of equity-deserving groups, such as women, racialized persons, and newcomers to Canada. The primary objective is to develop a comprehensive diverse supplier business directory that will enable EfficiencyOne staff to identify qualified contacts for goods and services and increase the inclusion of diverse businesses in future targeted or public procurement processes. This is a sources-sought activity rather than a contract for immediate award, and as such, there is no specified contract value or period of performance. Interested Canadian businesses must submit their information via a designated online form by the response deadline of January 1, 2027. The submission process requires detailed business information, ownership percentages, and supporting certifications for equity-deserving status, as well as a description of business capabilities and areas of expertise. Additionally, respondents are asked to provide optional information regarding their Nova Scotia Workers Compensation Board status and various liability insurance coverages, including commercial general, professional, automobile, cyber, and contractor pollution liability. All submitted information will be treated as confidential.
