The Department of Homeland Security is reminding all its small business service contractors of the upcoming January 31, 2018 deadline to complete the Fiscal Year 2017 Service Contract Reporting requirements through the System for Award Management (SAM). Compliance with this federal regulation is mandatory, and failure to submit the required information by the deadline will result in a noncompliance status being recorded in the Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS). Since CPARS evaluations influence government source selections, adhering to the reporting requirement is critical for maintaining good standing and eligibility for future contracts. This notice originates from the Contract Administration Services Division of DHS and pertains specifically to contractors under NAICS code 921190. Contractors are encouraged to review the detailed notice and complete their reporting promptly to avoid negative impacts on their performance evaluations. For assistance or inquiries, Candace Lightfoot, a Procurement Analyst, is available as the point of contact.
