Direct Drive Power Amplifier Design

This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov. This is a synopsis for noncommercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 13 as supplemented with additional information listed in this notice. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the most current Federal Acquisition Circular. This is being announced as a sole source requirement under the authority of FAR 6.302. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541330 with a Small Business Size Standard of $38.5 million, as concurred with by the NUWCDIVNPT Office of Small Business Program. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) purchase order to Qortek, Inc. for the development of a direct drive power amplifier to drive the array elements of the conformal array that can be for packaged in a 1 " cylinder with height of 3 inches. Qortek is the only company that has achieved high power densities with small package sizes which were recently demonstrated on a prior program funded by the Office Naval Research. QorTek has obtained patents for high power density direct drive power amplifiers. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Offers for other products must contain complete product information and prices (to include labor categories and hours proposed, and any material or other direct costs). The following addenda or additional terms and conditions apply: Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) rating is DO-C9. The anticipated posting date of solicitation N66604-17-Q-1720 is on or about 21 April 2017. The closing date for receipt of quotes will be established in the RFQ.
