Full Description

1. This notice is issued by the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO). Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 requires the Government to conduct market research before developing new requirement documents for an acquisition. Results of market research are used to determine whether qualified sources exist and whether commercial items are available to meet the requirement. 2. This is a Request for Information (RFI) for planning purposes, as part of a market survey on services for Dismounted Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (R-CIED) Electronics Warfare (CREW) Systems. 3. This particular ruggedized, and energy efficent system is intended to be worn by an individual and provide protection to the operator as well as those in close proximity. This system shall be easy to use, sustainable, and weigh less than 20lbs.
